Celebrities and Supporters Walk the Orange Carpet for Lupus 

An all-star cast of actors, musicians, producers, studio execs, and supporters gathered in May for our 9th annual Orange Ball.

We honored two amazing and accomplished women: Nancy Utley, President of Fox Searchlight Films, and famed lyricist, songwriter and singer, Carole Bayer Sager. 

CSI Miami star Eva La Rue hosted, Toni Braxton performed, Drew Barrymore and David Foster presented, and, to top it all off, Bollywood-style dancers opened the event with a performance of "Jai Ho" from the Slumdog Millionaire soundtrack. View photos from the stage and the “orange carpet” here.

It was an exciting evening that brought together LA’s lupus community to raise vital funds for lupus research and support services. As a reminder of the ongoing fight for a cure, we invited four women to share their stories of living with lupus. Watch video from their speeches here.

Join us for a new teen support group to say what’s on your mind, or to just listen.

The first of six weekly sessions meets Wednesday, July 1st from 6 to 7:30pm at the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. Open to teens 14 to 18. Learn more.

Run November’s NYC Marathon With
Team Life Without Lupus!

As the first-ever lupus charity team in the ING New York City Marathon, our East Coast division, the S.L.E. Lupus Foundation, is offering guaranteed spots on its Team Life Without Lupus to runners from around the country.

The catch: the runners must commit to raising money for the lupus cause. Applications accepted through July 1st.
